Sharing and showing appreciation of other creative minds helps keep us inspired. It's almost like synapses of connections occur when you see a vision unfold into something magical that sparks the creation of a new chapter in your story and it’s such an organic connection that only you understand why. One of my absolute favorite wedding websites is Green Wedding Shoes. It’s run by a couple, Jen, and Jason, who since falling love with each other, celebrates the love stories of others around the world in some of the most creative ways I’ve seen in one place.
Green Wedding Shoes wowed me with their story of Anežka and Magnus, who decided to fuse the heritage of their ancestors with their homeland in an incredibly romantic story. The event designer Sostre Studio created a Scandinavian inspired theme to one of the most famous railway stations in Prague, Naladove Nadrazi Zizkov. As the creators of the experience, we sometimes fall victim to being fearful of choosing an unlikely space for such a traditional occasion.
What I love most about this location is the way it captures the story of the past, present and future of the newlyweds in an homage to time. The clean and minimal decorations keep the focus on the bride and groom. The railroad tracks, the station, and the open combination of florals and greenery give room for a fresh interpretation their union. The planning that we associate with wedding's ambiance that captures a couple’s vision doesn’t always have to be a headache. What I appreciate most and really subscribe to Green Wedding Shoes' feature the way they've spotlighted the importance of utilizing location to create the stage that ultimately becomes the hero of the overall experience.
Maybe I wont get married on a beach barefoot anymore!
